In order to promote the environmental protection industry, Shandong Government has successfully held two sessions of “Shandong Eco-Province Executive Forum and International Exhibition on Green Industry (“Green Exhibition” for short)” respectively in September 2004 and 2006. Senior officials and famous experts from all over the world had attended the exhibitions and given addresses on the executive forums; 1656 organizations from 26 countries and regions as well as United Nations Industrial Development Organization had taken part in the exhibitions, and 3170 cooperative agreements or intents had been signed. The 1st Green Exhibition promoted the foundation of Environmental Protection Cooperation Committee between the government of Shandong Province and the Environmental Ministry of South Korea, building the green bridge for bilateral cooperation. The 2nd Green Exhibition, with the number of 1396 exhibition booths, has become the largest environmental protection exhibition nationwide. |
