The theme for this conference is “Respecting Choices”. It is aimed at examining the various choices that the healthcare workers, patients, and their families have to make in managing end-of-life care in an ageing population like Singapore. Invited international experts in end-of-life care are Professor Harvey Max Chochinov from Canada and Professor Cecillia Chan from Hong Kong. Local speakers will include prominent palliative care physicians such as A/Prof Cynthia Goh and Dr Rosalie Shaw.
The conference is expected to attract local and regional participants which will include doctors, nurses and allied healthcare workers from palliative care, oncology, family medicine and other related disciplines from Singapore and the Asia Pacific region.
